I have known Penn state Behrend for many years. I started to know this campus as a wife of a faculty then as a student. However, I have never noticed that this place is beautiful until recently. A few weeks ago, I brought my camera to school and snapped some pictures of the beautiful campus and Amanda.
A little history of this campus. The Penn State Behrend campus was donated in 1948 by Mary Behrend in memory of her husband, Ernst, co-founder of the Hammermill Paper Company. For more history, please visit Pennstate Erie.

Since my husband had to teach, Amanda and I went around the campus. She claimed she had found her secret garden. It was in fact a small forest path that led us to a parking lot.

Penn State Behrend is like a big park. Across my husband's office, there is a path that leads to a nature-made gorge. We went there many times in the summer. Unfortunately, I did not any pictures of that place. The effort to limit erecting more buildings for classroom and office in this campus made this campus very green. There are many places the students can find to relax by the trees and also to breath clean air.
