Soto Madura

I have been watching some cooking videos in YouTube recently. It is amazing that now, you do not need to have any cook books anymore. Internet provides all kinds of recipe from Korean food, Chinese food, Vietnamese food to Indonesia food. And for those who are beginner in cooking, YouTube cooking channels let you watch step by step cooking direction and the cooking process. So what do you do when you need to find a recipe? well, just switch on your laptop, go to your favorite search engine and type the name of the dish your are looking for. Or in my case, I browse the YouTube cooking channels and decide to cook after watching the video. One channel in YouTube provide an easy way to cook Indonesia food. If you go to Indonesia Food channel, you will see that cooking Indonesian food is not complicated.
Yesterday, I watched how to cook Soto Madura. The recipe is intimidating without watching how it is done. This recipe required many spices and they needed to be finely grinded. In Indonesia, we usually grind the spices using an old way, stone mortal and pestle, but since I moved to the US, I opt for another way, using food processor.

Recipe from : Indonesia Food Channel

So using my newly bought food processor, Magic Bullet, I cooked my own Soto Madura,

Soto Madura

and this soto would not complete without homemade bird eye chilies,

Chili sauce made from bird eye chilies.

Enjoy!
