I love most of Chinese pastries. One particular pastry is my favorite, green bean pastry. Unfortunately, I can not buy them in my city. So, where can you buy these kind of pastries? well, the nearest store is about 100 miles away from Erie. Luckily, one of my Indonesian friends is an self-taught pastry maker and she always share her green bean pastries with me.
I know first hand that making this green bean pastry is not easy. Once, I asked my friend to teach me to make this pastry but I gave up after seeing the steps I had to do on the dough. Well, that was a few years ago. Recently, my curiosity to learn to make this pastry arisen again and I browsed the net to find the best recipe to make green bean pastry.
I found the best recipe to make this pastry from My Kitchen Snippets. I love browsing this website because most of her recipes are very precise and accurate.
A little news from Erie,
The leaves of the two tresses in front of my house has started falling and the weather here has been getting colder. I know that the fall season is coming. But as much as I love seeing the beautiful color of fall, I am not looking forward to the season after the fall. Fortunately, there are still days of warm weather like the day I took the below picture. Please enjoy your pasty with a cup of tea and enjoy the weather while it is still summer.
